Housekeeping Part-Time
Job Description
General description of responsibilities:
-Maintaining cleanliness and appearance standards
-Use of an air blower and other floor cleaning equipment
-Cleaning floors, furniture, seats and restrooms
-Emptying trash and recycling canisters
-Making minor repairs to equipment, furnishings, seats, and other fixtures
-Maintaining restroom cleanliness and standards
-Work on deep cleaning projects as assigned
-Changing light bulbs as needed
-Set-up as directed by management for special events, including tables and chairs
-Painting and staining as needed
-Assist in restoration efforts and maintenance projects as directed by management
-Adhere to Tampa Theatre safety guidelines and policies
-Other responsibilities as assigned by Tampa Theatre Management.

Required Qualifications:
-Minimum of 18 years of age
-Minimum of 3 months custodial and/or housekeeping and/or trades work
-Ability to lift 50lbs
-Ability to climb stairs
-Ability to use a ladder
-Comfortable standing for extended periods of time
-Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals
-Self-motivated and takes ownership in one’s work
-Ability to consistently display a positive, friendly and energetic attitude and appearance
-Must be available weekends, holidays and evenings.
-Must be able to work overnight shifts

-HVAC Skills

Reports to: Head of Housekeeping

This position has a starting hourly rate of $9.00. The employee will work 6-20 hours a week on a schedule that entails mainly evenings, weekends and holidays. The exact schedule from week to week may vary depending on the Theatre’s event schedule.
