DAVID SEDARIS

WUSF presents
An Evening with
DAVID SEDARIS
Thursday, April 19 at 7:30pm

With sardonic wit and incisive social critiques, David Sedaris has become one of America’s pre-eminent humor writers. The great skill with which he slices through cultural euphemisms and political correctness proves that Sedaris is a master of satire and one of the most observant writers addressing the human condition today.

Sedaris is the author of the collections of personal essays, Naked, Me Talk Pretty One Day, Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim, and When you are Engulfed in Flames, each of which became a bestseller. They have been translated into25 languages. Sedaris’ pieces appear regularly in the New Yorker and have twice been included in “The Best American Essays.” His newest book, a collection of fables entitles Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk: A Modest Bestiary (with illustrations by Ian Falconer), was released in September 2010.

David Sedaris will visit Tampa Theatre for one night only, featuring all new readings of his work and a book signing. INKWOOD BOOKS will be selling books at the event. To purchase in advance, visit inkwoodbooks.com
