with Eric Darius, Shawn Brown, and BK Jackson

Eric Darius is a contemporary jazz saxophonist and composer. A long-time Tampa resident, Darius attended Howard W. Blake High School and the University of South Florida, where he studied business and music and performed with the university’s Jazztet. He has also performed with renowned artists such as Prince and Mary J. Blige. His formal debut album, Night on the Town, was released in 2004 and charted on Billboard’s Top Contemporary Jazz chart, where it reached No. 18. Just two years later, Darius’ follow-up album, Just Getting Started, charted even higher than his last,  peaking at No. 8. His fourth album, Goin All Out charted in the top 10, and its self-titled single peaked at No. 1 on Billboard’s Smooth Jazz Songs chart. Darius is currently touring and working on his sixth album, due out this summer.

Shawn Brown has been a professional musician for more than 30 years. Calling Tampa home since 1980, Shawn played with the band Blackstar,who scored a local hit with “Animal Attraction,” and toured Japan in The Precision Band. Brown has also shared the stage with nationally known acts such as Al Green, Christopher Cross, and Earth Wind & Fire. As of 2010, Brown has begun using his gifts to partner with people and organizations that help save the lives of others, and focusing more on charity events.

BK Jackson is no stranger to the Tampa area, having been voted as the Tampa Bay Entertainer of the Year in 2007. He was also the NAACP ACT-SO Gold Medal winner in the Music Instrumental/Contemporary Category that same year. Jackson has opened for and shared stage with numerous renowned artists including Fantasia, B.B King, Tony Bennett and Prince. Jackson is currently in the studio putting finishing touches on his sophomore release, Life of the Party, and is in his senior year of college at Florida A&M University studying Jazz Studies and Music Industry.
