Black Panther (2018)
FREE SCREENING AT RIVER TOWER PARK
After the death of his father, T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) returns home to the African nation of Wakanda to take his rightful place as king. When a powerful enemy (Michael B. Jordan as Killmonger) suddenly reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king — and as the Wakandan hero Black Panther — gets tested as he’s drawn into a conflict that puts the fate of his nation and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger and helped by his inner circle (Lupita Nyong’o, Letitia Wright, Angela Bassett), the young king must rally his allies and confront his own history to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people.
A moving vision of the first black superhero from Marvel Comics and one of the most phenomenally successful films of all time, Black Panther’s tableau of a technologically superior Wakanda grounded in the deeply personal screenplay and the stellar performances of its whole ensemble of actors will resonate with audiences for years to come.
This free, outdoor screening will take place at River Tower Park, 401 E. Bird Street in Tampa. Picnic baskets, blankets and lawn chairs are encouraged!
