Since Sept 11th, 2001, the US has been engaged in one of the longest wars in our country’s history. On the anniversary of this horrific day, Tampa Theatre and SOF Missions invite you to participate in the national premiere of Surrender Only to One, a powerful new documentary by executive producer/director Dwight Thompson, Jr.

This gritty, award-winning film captures the stories of six special operations soldiers engaging in combat and coming home to face the scars of war. Through exquisite cinematography, an original music score, and authentic war footage, the Surrender Only to One gives viewers a glimpse of the powerful events that enable these soldier to find strength and a path away from personal destruction to the One who heals both heart and soul. With each story, we are reminded of the timeless truth in this country’s founding principle: “In God We Trust.”

The backgrounds, branches of service, and personal experiences of each hero are vastly different, yet their personal pain is common to many: The trials are not unique to the men and women serving our country, but are relevant to anyone who is struggling with life’s challenges, making this film and its message universal to all.

This special Community Screening is FREE and open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. 

SOF Missions began in 2011 with the goal of making an atomic impact to change and transform the world. They are veterans, health care professionals, contractors, group leaders, missionaries, volunteers and everyday people whose aim is to support warriors who struggle with post-traumatic stress and provide them with the tools to overcome the negative impacts of combat.
