Dates and Times

The small Canadian fishing village of Tickle Head must procure a local doctor in order to secure a new factory that will bring much-needed jobs to their struggling town.

When unlikely candidate and big city doctor Paul Lewis (Taylor Kitsch) lands in their lap for a trial residence, the townsfolk rally together to charm him into staying.  But as the doctor’s time in the village winds to a close, acting mayor Murray French (Brendan Gleeson) has no choice but to pull out all the stops and begin “The Grand Seduction.”

Called " Cozy, picturesque and soothingly reassuring " by The Washington Post, THE GRAND SEDUCTION is a remake of the 2003 French-Canadian farce SEDUCING DOCTOR LEWIS. It has been compared to wry, artsy heartwarmers like WAKING NED DEVINE and THE FULL MONTY, likewise relying on talented character actors and their deadpan delivery to turn a predictable plot into a charming film about small-town folks finding a renewed sense of identity and purpose.
