MAGGIE (CIADELLA) WEBBER PROMOTED TO THEATRE’S TOP FUNDRAISING POSITION

Hired in January 2015 to Oversee Annual Giving,
Webber Will Now Serve as Director of Development

TAMPA, Fla. (March 23, 2017) – Tampa Theatre is proud to announce that Maggie (Ciadella) Webber has accepted a promotion to the position of Director of Development. She was previously the Theatre’s Director of Annual Giving

A native of Long Island, NY, Webber grew up in Pasco County, was a member of the first graduating class from J.W. Mitchell High School, and received her bachelor of science in Public Relations from the University of Florida. After graduation, she moved to New York City to work for Fox News Channel and earn her master’s degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communication from New York University.

Ciadella spent 2 ½ years at Carnegie Hall publicizing the Weill Music Institute’s education programs before returning to the Tampa Bay area for a position as the Manager of Social Memberships and, later, the Annual Giving Manager at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater. Over her four-year tenure, she worked to grow the performing arts center’s membership programs and managed the organization’s Friends of Music program, planning and executing major events with the likes of Darius Rucker, Kid Rock, and Matchbox Twenty.

As part of Tampa Theatre’s 13-person leadership team, Webber will lead Tampa Theatre’s fundraising activities, including the Theatre’s restoration campaign and “Cush Your Tush” new seat initiative, as well as its ongoing annual fund support.

“My predecessor, JL Wagner, and our President and CEO, John Bell, have done a tremendous job of launching this restoration campaign,” Webber says. “Working with our family of members, donors, Board of Directors, and staff to complete the Theatre’s restoration campaign is a huge honor. Tampa Theatre is a community gem, and the importance of restoring it to its original glory cannot be understated. I am energized to be part of the future of this majestic movie palace.”

Webber is member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and is on the National Philanthropy Day 2017 committee. She and her new husband, Jim, were married in December, and in her free time, she enjoys traveling and dancing. (She even danced in the pre-game show for Superbowl XXXV in Tampa!) Her favorite movie is The Sound of Music.
