Patron Services and Concession Stand Lead
Summary:
The Patron Services and Concession Stand Lead is a part-time hourly employee whose primary function is the daily operation and supervision of the Patron Services and Concession Stand staff. This position ensures company goals, guidelines and standards are met on a daily basis by our part-time team. This position serves to support the Front Of House Management in all aspects of the operation, with a special focus on training and upholding standards. Leadership and Bar experience is a key part of this role.
General description of responsibilities:
-Train, motivate and supervise a diverse group of staff members to work in the Box Office and Concession Stand to provide efficient and friendly customer service to guests.
-Complete training materials with new hires serve as trainer
-Coach and oversee Patron Services Reps on proper policy and standards
-Work alongside staff in various positions such as Greeter, Box Office, Cocktail Service and Concession Stand staff; understanding you are responsible for enforcing policy and direction provided by management.
-Assist with closing out cashiers as directed by management.
-Serve as the responsible person on duty after Senior Manager leaves for the evening. Including handling emergency procedures and securing the building.
-Maintaining restroom cleanliness and standards.
-Maintaining a clean, safe and customer service oriented environment for our patrons. Respond quickly to guest feedback and concerns in a customer centric manner.
-Stocking and conducting Weekly inventory of Concession Stand items. Notify House Management of any variances. This includes logging new inventory.
-Prepare simple order guide sheet to Senior House Manager to order.
-Responsible for the uniform appearance of the staff in correspondence with the uniform code.
-Conduct an annual yearly inventory with House Management.
-Oversee and assist with event set-up (including: tables, chairs, linens, queue lines)
-Suggest and develop specialty cocktails for events and screening train staff on properly making them
-Ensure OSHA and Health Standards are met.
-Ensure a clean and safe environment. Communicate cleanliness issues to Head of Housekeeping. Report safety concerns to Senior House Manager and City of Tampa.
-Enforce house safety, cash handling, wardrobe and guest service policies.
-Provide guidance to staff, volunteers and guest in the event of an emergency.
-Maintain regular communication with Senior House Manager and Asst. House Managers of the operation, including attendance at weekly staff meeting.
-Other responsibilities as assigned by Tampa Theatre Management.
Qualifications:
-Available a minimum 3 week nights starting at 4p- midnight in addition to Saturday and Sunday, and “All hands on deck” dates
-Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
-Minimum of 3 months in a leadership role
-Minimum amount of time off request monthly. Must be available holidays.
-Ability to lift up to 40lbs and carry up and down stairs
-Ability to climb stairs frequently
-Full Service Bartending experience
-Comfortable standing for extended periods of time
-Ability to write and speak English fluently
-Basic computer skills (Word, Outlook, and Excel)
-Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment
-Strong and effective communication skills
– Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
-Experience working in a customer centered environment
-Ability to consistently display a positive, friendly and energetic attitude and appearance
-Must be available weekends, holidays and evenings.
-Comfortable working in a small ticket booth for extended periods of time
-Ability to obtain ServSafe Alcohol within 30 days of employment
Preferred Qualifications:
–Experience with Micros
-Bar supervisor experience preferred but not required
Reports to: Sr. Patron Services and Concession Stand Lead and Front of House Management
This position has a starting hourly rate of $13.00. The employee will work 20-30 hours a week, with a 6 month average of under 25hrs a week. The schedule will entail mainly evenings, weekends, and holidays. The exact schedule from week to week may vary depending on the Theatre’s event schedule. Schedules run Friday through Thursday.
