As one of “America’s Best Historic Movie Theaters” (Fodor’s) and one of the “10 Most Beautiful Cinemas in the World” (BBC), Tampa Theatre opens its doors several times a month for tours of the historic landmark.
Monthly Balcony to Backstage Tours invite the public to learn more about the majestic movie palace’s history and architecture, and treats guests to a demonstration of the Mighty Wurlitzer Theatre Organ. CLICK HERE for more information and to purchase tickets.
In October, Tampa Theatre highlights its reputation as one of the most haunted buildings in Tampa with a series of Ghosts of Tampa Theatre Tours that share stories of the spirited former employees and patrons who still make their presence known.
These tours do sell out, so please consider buying your tickets in advance, either online through the links above or in person at the historic Franklin Street Box Office.
And while the the Theatre’s schedule of more than 600 events per year does not allow us the flexibility to host curious visitors who just want to drop by and look around, we are always happy to schedule a private tour for students and community groups of 20 or more.
