Theatre Tours
As the League of Historic American Theatres’ “Outstanding Historic Theatre” of 2024, one of “America’s Best Historic Movie Theaters” (Fodor’s) and one of the “10 Most Beautiful Cinemas in the World” (BBC), Tampa Theatre opens its doors each month a month for tours of the historic landmark.
In October, Tampa Theatre highlights its reputation as one of the most haunted buildings in Tampa with a series of Ghosts of Tampa Theatre Tours that share stories of the spirited former employees and patrons who still make their presence known.
Ghost Tour tickets are $15 for general admission / FREE for Tampa Theatre Members.
These tours do sell out, so please consider getting your tickets in advance, either online or in person at the historic Franklin Street Box Office.
Monthly Balcony to Backstage Tours invite the public to learn more about the majestic movie palace’s history and architecture, and treats guests to a demonstration of the Mighty Wurlitzer Theatre Organ. These tours will resume in November 2026.
And while the Theatre’s schedule of more than 1,000 events per year does not allow us the flexibility to host curious visitors who just want to drop by and look around, we are always happy to schedule a private tour for students and community groups.
