Atsuko Okatsuka: Full Grown Tour

LIVE ON STAGE

Tampa Theatre and Live Nation will welcome Atsuko Okatsuka to the Theatre’s historic stage at 7:00pm Saturday, Oct. 5, for a stop on her Full Grown Tour. Atsuko tackles making friends as an adult and the facade of marriage now that she’s completely matured and needs no improvement.

Atsuko is a stand-up comedian, actor, and writer who was born in Taiwan, spent her childhood in Japan, and is now based in LA. Her debut standup special, The Intruder – directed by Tig Notaro – premiered on HBO and was named the “Best Debut Special of 2022” by the New York Times and one of the “Best Specials of 2022” by Vulture and Variety. Atsuko won the 2023 Gracie Award for “Best Special” and was nominated for “Best Comedian” by the Wowie Awards. She was named one of Variety’s 10 Comics to Watch for 2022, and when she made her late-night stand-up debut on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Vulture proclaimed she “won late-night.”

Atsuko is currently developing a half-hour comedy series with FX based on her life. Her on-screen credits include History of the World Pt. II (Hulu), Room 104 (HBO), and The Show Next Door With Randall Park (ROKU+). She was recently featured on This American Life with Ira Glass and told the story of how she got to the USA. She was raised by her grandmother, and they created the #DropChallenge together, which has amassed more than 10 million views. Her unique upbringing brings an artfully offbeat, resilient persona that is perfectly embodied in her blunt bangs and bowl cut.

Tickets range from $38.50-$68.50 plus applicable taxes and fees ($46.25-$78.50 total at the Box Office & $50.25-$83.75 total online).

A limited number of VIP Meet & Greet tickets will also be available in advance for $150 plus applicable fees and taxes ($166 total at the Box Office & $174.75 total online), which include one excellent seat location in the first five rows and photo op with Atsuko Okatsuka after the show.
