  • A poignant retelling of Olympic swimmer Alfred Nakache’s life, from his rise to fame to surviving Auschwitz, presented as memories flashing back during his final swim.
•  FOREVERGREEN, Directed by Nathan Englehardt and Jeremy Spears | United States | 13min
  • A joyful adventure featuring an orphaned bear cub and a fatherly tree turns serious when the cub is tempted by the allure of easy food. Fire and deadly danger ensue as the cub is left bereft of hope and on the verge of a ruinous end.
• THE GIRL WHO CRIED PEARLS, Directed by Chris Lavis and Maciek Szczerbowski | Canada | 17min
  • A haunting fable about a girl overwhelmed by sorrow, the boy who loves her, and how greed leads good hearts to wicked deeds.
• RETIREMENT PLAN, Directed by John Kelly |Ireland | 7min
  • Retirement Plan tells the story of Ray (Domhnall Gleeson) as he fantasizes about everything he’d love to do in retirement, once he finally has the “time.”
• THE THREE SISTERS, Directed by Konstantin Bronzi | Israel, Cyprus | 14min
  • Three sisters live a lonely life on an isolated island, each in their own small house. One day, circumstances develop in such a way that they are forced to rent out one of the houses.

Tampa Theatre is proud to show a selection of films that have been nominated for OSCARS^® at the 98^th annual Academy Awards. Ordinarily, we would encourage you to catch up on any films you missed before our annual Hollywood Awards Night event, but with the Historic Duncan Auditorium closing for restoration work ahead of our 100^th anniversary, we will all be watching the OSCARS^® from home this year when it streams on March 15, 2026.

This screening is held in the Taylor Screening Room, on most dates during its run. At ticket purchase, you will be asked to select your reserved seat(s).
