Adapted by screenwriter Jeff Pope from Tom Michell’s 2016 memoir, The Penguin Lessons stars Steve Coogan (The Trip, Philomena) as Michell, a British teacher who takes a job at St. George’s, a boys’ school in Argentina in 1976 – a time of tremendous political upheaval in that country — and finds his life transformed when he rescues an oil-soaked, orphaned penguin from the beach.
