The Ques of Comedy show featuring Rickey Smiley, D.L. Hughley and Joe Torry is the perfect event to set the tone for the Omega Psi Phi 84th National Convention. A little laughter is always welcomed before a long week of meetings and activities!

Rickey Smiley is a stand-up comedian, TV host, actor and radio personality known for his prank phone calls. He is the host of the nationally syndicated Rickey Smiley Morning Show based in Atlanta, and he starred in a sitcom, The Rickey Smiley Show, which aired on TV One. He is also a featured columnist on the nationally syndicated tabloid show Dish Nation. He has also appeared on It’s Showtime at the Apollo, HBO’s Def Comedy Jam, HBO’s Snaps, The Nashville Network, Uptown Comedy Club, and Comic Escape, and had a starring role in Ice Cube’s Friday After Next. Smiley is a member of Omega Psi Phi, having been initiated into its Psi Rho graduate chapter.

D.L. Hughley is an American actor and stand-up comedian best known as the original host of BET’s ComicView from 1992 to 1993, the eponymous character on the ABC/UPN sitcom The Hughleys, and as one of the “Big Four” comedians in The Original Kings of Comedy. He grew up in South Central Los Angeles and talks openly of his troubled teen years as a member of the notorious street gang, the Bloods. But he turned his life around after his cousin was shot, and went to work for the Los Angeles Times, where he met his wife, who convinced him to try stand-up comedy. Hughley has been the host of CNN’s D. L. Hughley Breaks the News, a correspondent for The Jay Leno Show on NBC, and a local radio personality and interviewer in New York City. He was initiated as an honorary member of Omega Psi Phi fraternity in 2020.

Joe Torry is a writer, actor and comedian who made a name for himself with roles in films like Poetic Justice, House Party, Tales from the Hood, and television’s NCIS. He has also hosted NBC’s Last Comic Standing and MTV’s Hip Hop Squares and made appearances on It’s Showtime at the Apollo and Def Comedy Jam. Torry is a member of Omega Psi Phi, having been initiated into its Eta Sigma chapter.
